    You may be tempted to blame Republican politics because there is currently a Republican in the White House.  However, social activism – i.e., too much government interference in free market enterprise – is responsible for the current fiasco.  “In an attempt to increase homeownership, particularly by minorities and the less affluent, an attack on underwriting standards was undertaken by virtually every branch of the government since the early 1990s.  [...] The decline in mortgage underwriting standards was universally praised as 'innovation' in mortgage lending...”

    The gap between homo sapiens and Neanderthals continues to shrink.  Check out this photo and tell me there are large genetic differences between Neanderthals and people today.
  • Oldest Gecko Fossil Found in Amber
    According to the researchers, the discovery shows that geckos lived in Asia during the lower Cretaceous period, 97 million to 110 million years ago, and that the animals had already evolved their unusually adhesive feet.”  So, for 97 to 110 million years, geckos have remained the same.  Hmm…
